This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about the descendants of my Immigrant ancestor, John Handerson (Henrison,
Henryson, Hannison, Henderson) and his wife, Martha Steele. A discussion of their origins and immediate families are given

The first published attempt to identify the descendants of John and Martha
was made by Dr. Henry Ebenezer Handerson in the 1880's. He published his results in "A Contribution to the Genealogy of the
Handerson Family" dated 1885. I have used this as a basis for my work on the Appendices A thru D and have corrected and
updated it as far as I have beeen able to trace the subsquent generations. Also added were some people that Henry didn't
include from the earlier generations.
Appendiices
E thru P are an update of Marion Henderson Reynolds' pamphlet "Descendants of James and Sarah Handerson" which she compiled
in 1976. Appendix E is limited to persons born with the name Handerson/ Henderson; the others cover the non Henderson descendants.
Much of the data for these listing was obtained from the US Census. Other sources were state
and town vital records, family histories and direct contact with the people listed.
